What is Business Excellence?
Business Excellence is all about determining your business objectives and then assessing your state of excellence against your objectives.
Through a process of self-assessment against a set of criteria you can determine your strengths and opportunities for improvement. Using this knowledge you can determine and deploy improvements in order to improve your excellence. There is no prescribed formula for success. The criteria for assessment are based on a model of business excellence. Business Excellence is about results and improvement and builds happily upon a quality system like ISO9000.
The Business Excellence Model
We use the EFQM model which is European, but all the models have strong similarities (the US Baldrige Model and the Japanese Deming Model). The main elements of the model are
contained in the statement of intent for the use of the model:
“Excellent results with respect to Performance, Customers, People and Society are achieved through Leadership driving Policy and Strategy, People, Partnerships and Resources, and Processes”
The Excellence In Business Network
The Excellence In Business Network is an association of people with a wide background of industrial experience and several years involvement in assessment and actually making
improvements. The members of the network are all deeply enthusiastic and committed to creating excellence in business.
What Can We Do For You?

- Facilitating your own self-assessment of your state of excellence, including your strengths and opportunities for improvement

Whilst we are UK focussed, we do have international experience, and the network may expand to include experts from other European countries and beyond.
